Getting involved in a liturgical ministry not only helps the parish, but can enhance your experience of the liturgy as well!  Consider volunteering for a ministry that assists all of us in our worship experience.

Lector
A Lector is a lay minister that reads from the Lectionary at Mass; sometimes this person may be called a reader.  They are responsible for reading the sacred scripture and possibly the Prayers of the Faithful

Usher/Greeter
An Usher/Greeter is someone who welcomes people to worship.  The Usher/Greeter will tend to others needs by helping people find a place to sit, gather the gifts during offertory, and bid everyone farewell at the end of mass by handing out the bulletins.

Eucharistic Minister
An Eucharistic Minister plays an extremely important role during the celebration of the Eucharist.  He or she helps the Priest or Deacon in giving the Body and Blood of Christ to His followers both during Mass and/or while visiting those that are homebound.  During homebound visits you offer those you are seeing an opportunity to benefit from the strengthening power of prayer by making use of many rites and orders of prayer and blessing provided by the Church. 

Altar Servers
An Altar Server is anyone that assists the other ministers so that they are more able to focus on their work.  The servers light candles, hold books, handle the vessels and arrange the cloths and other things to simplify the minister’s motions and eliminate distractions.  Any child in grade 3 or higher is welcome.

Music Ministry
A Music Minister shares either their voice or their ability to play an instrument an offers it as a gift to the Glory of God.  Whether you sing or play an instrument your ministry is essential to the worship of the parish.  Within the mass, music gathers the voice of the assembly into one.

Flower Committee
As a Flower Committee member you will be asked to arrange flowers for the main and side altars.  Anyone with a gift of flower arranging is asked to assist with this ministry.  It is a beautiful way to show and share your love of God.

Church Cleaners
A Church Cleaner accepts the responsibility to clean the church on a rotating basis.  It is a special gift to God to clean His home. 

Eucharistic Adoration
Each First Friday of the month from 9:30 am to Noon, St. Mary’s offers a special time to be part of an Eucharistic Adoration.  All are welcome.

Rosary Group
Each morning after the 9 am Mass the Rosary is prayed and on Sundays prior to the 8 am Mass.  All are welcome to join in.

Arimetheans
As an Arimethean, you will be asked to help out during funerals.  You may be handing out programs, greeting funeral goers, ushering, assisting on the altar as a server, etc.
